Bio lab
For the record... after 10 years... I still don't dig this subject. Memorize memorize memorize memorize the book.... and when you try to ask questions not found in the book... you get stared down by the teacher. hahahahaha My workbook was always empty... except for the drawing parts. hehehe I passed the subject because I had a reliable SHORT term memory back then. Hmmmm.... I probably used up my quota of short term memory allocation on these types of subjects.
Usefulness of this subject to me for the past 10 years .... 0%
Sana they take this out of the curriculum... waste of time and tax payers money.

November Rain
So much has happened last month that even finding time to gather my thoughts and pausing to reflect for while had to be postponed in lieu of sleep. My personal and professional life went on a roller coaster ride. Hahaha
I had to miss a friends’ wedding to make it to a cousin’s wedding also on the same date. I had to deal with sadness over some friends leaving and with the anticipation of another friend returning. Then there was also past projects revisited, resurrected and recoded. My schedule was so erratic. ^_^ Actually nothing really earth shaking happened (teka lumindol ata.. november ba yun?).. hehehe November just flew by so quickly.
The picture above was from an impromptu photo shoot with Camille in her unit which is across from mine. ^_^ December promises to be as stressful as the previous month… I have to pack my mini jungle of a room. Yikes.

Serendipity Saturday

Ended up going to Hidalgo with Zer and Vince last Saturday... then on a whim went to Kalaw to find the chinese restuarant Vince used to frequent there. Forgot the name of the restaurant but they served good wanton. It's near the Shell gas station across the National Library. Afterwards went to Mall of Asia to catch the sunset... ended up shooting their fireworks display later that night instead. Hehehehe not content with the fireworks display... we went to Harbour View (i think this is the name) and tried shooting the Manila Yatch Club across the sea wall. Hahaha we really had no plans for that day.... we ended up dragging Zer, without his camera, with us all over Manila. Fortunately he had his DS with him. ^_^

Rambutan
One of my favorite fruits. I have a bunch left at home...
It's 5:00 AM in the morning and I'm wishing am home with my rambutans. =( Been here since 7 AM yesterday... only 2 more hours and I'll have spent almost 24 hours straight in front of the computer. I can feel my lips twitching... my elbows hurting (prolonged typing position)... my eyes watering... my feet stiff... my shoulders and back hurting... my tummy growling.
Am getting too old for this. =( I want my rambutan.

Memorable Pic Series -- Ground Zero
Goodbye Ground Zero. You have been witness to my growth, my failures and all the myriad feelings I have ever displayed at work. To me, you represent a different era. An era that I miss and will forever cherish as my early days in ground zero. I will miss ground zero but that's life. We have to move on. ^_^

Memorable Pic Series -- Summer Blues
First time in years that I've spent the whole day with my best friend. Crazy day. Early morning rush to get to our friend's wedding... we ended up as backup photographer/va (naka gown pa si Shamps!)... tapos driver/food delivery service for the newlyweds (nakagown paren si Shamps!) (-_-)... later that night Shamps invited me to CRASH her aunts bday party. hahaha the summer drink was from that party... was sitting there staring at it thinking over the crazy day we had.

Marianne Williamson - Our Deepest Fear is that We Are Powerful Beyond Measure
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

READ WHAT OPRAH WINFREY HAD TO SAY ABOUT MEN
*found this in friendster*
If a man wants you, nothing can keep him away.
If he doesn't want you, nothing can make him stay.
Stop making excuses for a man and his behavior.
Allow your intuition (or spirit) to save you from heartache.
Stop trying to change yourself for a relationship that's not meant to
be.
Slower is better. Never live your life for a man before you find what
makes you truly happy.
If a relationship ends because the man was not treating you as you
deserve then heck no, you can't "be friends".
A friend wouldn't mistreat a friend. Don't settle.
If you feel like he is stringing you along, then he probably is. Don't
stay because you think "it will get better." You'll be mad at yourself a year later for staying when things are better.
The only person you can control in a relationship is you.
Avoid men who've got a bunch of children by a bunch of different women. He didn't marry them when he got them pregnant, why would he treat you any differently?
Always have your own set of friends separate from his. Maintain boundaries in how a guy treats
you. If something bothers you, speak up.
Never let a man know everything.* He will use it against you later.
You cannot change a man's behavior.* Change comes from within.
Don't EVER make him feel he is more important than you are...
even if he has more education or in a better job. Do not make him into a quasi-god. He is a man, nothing more nothing less.
Never let a man define who you are.
Never borrow someone else's man. If he cheated with you, he'll cheat on you.
A man will only treat you the way you ALLOW him to treat you.
All men are NOT dogs.
You should not be the one doing all the bending...compromise is two way street.
You need time to heal between relationships... there is nothing cute about baggage... deal with your issues before pursuing a new relationship
You should never look for someone to COMPLETE you... a relationship consists of two WHOLE
individuals...look for someone complimentary... not supplementary.
Dating is fun...even if he doesn't turn out to be Mr. Right.
Make him miss you sometimes...when a man always know where you are, and you're always readily available to him -he takes it for granted.
Never move into his mother's house.
Never co-sign for a man.
Don't fully commit to a man who doesn't give you everything that you need.* Keep him in your radar but get to know others.
Share this with other women and men (just so they know)... You'll make someone smile, another rethink her choices, and another woman prepare.
They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them and an entire lifetime to forget them.
Advice from Angel,
Scared of being alone is what makes a lot of women stay in relationships that are abusive or hurtful: Dr Phil
You should know that you're the best thing that could ever happen to anyone and if a man mistreats you, he'll miss out on a good thing. If he was attracted to you in the 1st place,
just know that he's not the only one. They're all watching you, so you have a lot of choices. Make the right one.

Old School
my old film camera... and one picture that made me wish for a digital. The hassle of trying to compose shots without powerlines in them. ^_^ I reasoned that with digital... it could be edited out without cropping the picture. On the other hand.... felt safer walking around alone with my film camera... with it's solid weight... it would surely hurt if I hit you with it. hahahaha

Take a Bow
When we went to Singapore... my priorities were mostly to visit Janice, see the penguins and the dolphins. hahaha
Hay... I would have happily stayed there to watch the penguins.

Oh Happy Day!
Woke up smiling today... I don't know why... but I can't stop smiling and it's already mid day. ^_^
I used to smile and laugh a lot but when I started working... I conciously made an effort to stop so that I would be taken seriously.
As years passed... I became accustomed to stopping myself from smiling... especially my goofy smiles + blank stare + "huh?" (hehehe my friends usually see this) hahaha I usually have this on my face when I'm having fun with my imagination.
I also noticed that for some people, smiling while facing your computer equates to not working. hahaha Well sometimes that is so true... but can't a person smile while coding super boring stuff? hehehe sira ulo.
The guy in front of me is frowning... I don't know why.... but I find his expression funny and I can't hold back my grin much longer. ^_^
hmmmm I ate lanzones before going to bed last night and woke up smiling... hmmmm would somebody please try that too... then let me know if you woke up smiling too. ^_^
Everyone have a great day!

Reflection
Time does not stand still... even if we feel like our life is on hold... time will definitely catch up and when it does... we end up regretting wasting it.
Time that could have been spent with family.
Time that could have been spent with friends.
Time that could have been spent learning.
Time that could have been this and that.
Now... what am I doing here wasting time blogging this... and for that matter... what are you doing here? hahaha
I just could not resist doing a time wasting spiel. ^_^
Time = Life

Dam Dump
Don't read if you don't want to be grossed out. hahaha
hmmmm seeing lots of water makes me want to pee... then thinking about peeing leads to thinking about taking a dump.
Have you ever took a dump then it takes too long... so your mind sort of wanders then the dam breaks and you sort of forgot what you were supposed to be doing and felt icky cause you realized you crapped?
hahaha crappiest post ever.

Wawa Me in Wawa Dam
Spent last Saturday morning shooting at Rizal's Wawa Dam. Afterwards we went to Avilon Zoo. It was a very hot day... my car's aircon conked on the way home. =( We had to leave early to make it to Apperture Trading before 4:30 PM to get the falcon eyes kit we will be using for another shoot that same night. hehehe
It was a long and productive day for us all. ^_^
Am broke but am happy. hahaha
